thumbs up if you came here from my little porno: friendship with benefits

The intro to this track is sampled from the movie Blade Runner. There are also other samples from Blade Runner in this song. I just thought it interesting and worth a mention.

@Jarren202 Having absorbed everything I could get my hands on of the early stuff and wishing there was some say to embed the stuff directly on my brain I was skeptical of the mid 80's stuff as well. I found The Fury to be an OK album and like to use it to "cleanse the palate" now and then

Just stumbled upon this from a review on Discogs. As a fan of early Numan (Tubeway Army punk era - Telekon) I have to admit I have never really listened to this mid-80's material.
The reason? I hate the bombastic sound of the mid-80's!
However, while this song has the obligatory massive snare drums, I really like it!
Is The Fury worth investigating, keeping in mind that other mid 80's trait I hate: saxophones?

Still Great to watch.

If anyone ever felt the need to call out the dogs, you merely have to send it above.....and believe me THEY are called in remarkable ways.
..Don't believe me, just look back from time to tmie on your lives and notice what happened to those terrible moments....and if it didn't satisfy I just do not know WHAT WILL.
Just wait and see....sit back and it usually falls in the same tracks for all to see.

Is that the legendary Cedric on drums?

Wasn't there another video of this that actually had footage from Blade Runner? (that's what I remember...don't recall ever seeing this one at the time)
I remember when I saw The Fury album cover and thought what on earth is Gary Numan thinking? That white suit makes him look like a poor imitation of Bryan Ferry, even though the sound leans more towards dark industrial. The song isn't the worst he put out but certainly far from his best.

I agree, it was a pretty cheesy look. Not that the "Warriors" look or "Berserker" looks did much for him either. But this look just doesn't go with the music IMO.
