Our peke would do this till someone would catch him, he would hop off and pretend that nothing had happened, all innocent

That is so interesting, I worked with a shelter pekingese dog, Oscar.in 2010
He often did the rolling around on his back.
I didn't know this was characteristic of the breed.
My utube channel is missmoxieloksee I have about 15 shelter dog videos.
The video titled, " Oscar wearing cone", is where he is rolling around.
He was bitten because he started a fight , he will not back down from big dogs.
He is truly a Lion dog. Clownish, and likes playing fetch.
