Steve Jobs spoke five months after he had a liver transplant about the donor he received the liver from. He recommends that everyone sign up to be an organ donor - it saved his life, it could save many more!
I had my liver transplant from primary Billiary Cirrhosis due to it being in my DNA they say. I was born with it. Mine was July 5th of 2005 and I am still doing wonderful. I have just begun corresponding with the family of the young man, Rick at 19, who died on July 4th. I now even know what he and his head stone looks like and I will go to meet his family very soon. I have a normal life for the most part, but at 50 yrs. old, other small things crop up as well. My liver is perfect.
I'm 26, and a liver transplant recipient myself. Waiting for a life saving gift is unlike anything you'll ever know. Knowing that you'll be dead in less than a year if you don't find the right organ, puts things into perspective, and changes your outlook on life. If I died now, I'd want to give anything I could to help somebody else.
People parish for the lack of knowledge. You never know if you would ever have to walk in his shoe in need for an Organ to live. Why take your organs with you after death when your legacy can live on in others by donation. Share your decision with your family to be an Organ, eye and tissue donor.
His liver was full of liverstones so the dumb ass allopaths cut it out and put in another liver that was also full of liverstones...
Guess what, cancer came back!
