Epcot Opening Ceremony part one

I want Walt Disney World and the Walt Disney Company Board to understand the original mission of Epcot, see the heritage, and why we need another Ceremony for the 25th Anniversary of Epcot. Such a Milestone does not deserve to be squandered away like a TV set or a Toaster. Another ceremony like this one is very appropriate. It is also prudent to have a special fireworks program for October 1st, 2007.

Let us not squander away celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Walt Disney's vision for the future. In the opening Ceremony, Card Walker states Epcot Center's goals very clearly. "We want to first entertain, then inform, and above all instill in our guests a new sense of hope and pride in mankind's ability to shape a world that offers real hope to people everywhere in the world." This quote is on the dedication plaque outside Epcot under the flag.

You would not believe how similar Epcot's rededication was to this one. It paid such wonderful homage and respect to Walt and the park's founding principles. I do hope somebody puts it up on YouTube soon... because I was in the crowd!

I'm so happy they are having a rededication ceremony tomorrow! Plus they'll have limited edition retro park maps and commemorative pins! :3 I can't go though, but my best friend is bringing me back somethings and is taking pics! There'll be tons of other events that day too! If only I could be there at the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow :(

@mcog2006 They won't. Disney has given up on celebrating the future. The best you can hope for is a Thrill Ride Celebration on the 10th anniversary of Mission: Space or the 15th anniversary of Test Track.

Why did they take down the beautiful glass fountain at the entrance of Spaceship Earth? There's still a fountain, but the beautiful colorful glass display with Epcot's symbol form the 80's has been gone for years...

What a shame! I now remember how beautiful they were by watching this grand opening, what a great way to open up the best Disney park!

I hope they do a 30th anniversary celebration, because if they do, I'm going, sadly I missed the 25th anniversary.

Having said that, every girl that I grew up dancing with dreamed of dancing for Disney. Only one actually did.
