well, thats good news to me, that this game has engine failures. but does it have a gague that tells you that the engine is hot or that something is wrong with it?

No it just happened. I didn't notice any problems before.
Once it occurred I did notice that the engine on the car display was red.

There's damage. You can knock off your front wing or damage your tyres. I heard the team say on the radio that: 'there seems to be a problem with your car. Try to return to the pits'. Then I got this screen. It all happened really sudden.
