Here I am singing The Sun Whose Rays Are All Ablaze from "The Mikado" by Gilbert & Sullivan. I had the photos and I had the recording and had fun with it. I hope you do, too. Yes, that's me singing.

  • Oh, so that's what efflugent means.

Kind of disappointing to expect a video and find still photos.

I think this is the most lyrically beautiful pieces of music that Gilbert and Sullivan ever did. Expecially the second verse. Such a well crafted poem.

I am glad you picked this piece and shared with everyone. I like it very much.

Have you ever done "Till there was you", from 'The Music Man'? A similar tonal range to this song, I would think.

  • Hope all is well for you today whatever you are doing Laura G. Take care !

  • Gosh I'm so lucky to have found your videos Laura G. This is the fourth one I've heard tonight for the first time and they are each better than the last ! Soon, you just will not be able to contain the happiness, Laura. This life has so many amazing surprises that will come to you daily, I know you already know that. I have a funny feeling you are going to break every single record for popularity with such a strong beginning in a world so hungry for love and happiness. Sing with me one day!

  • You know how to sing TO the audience, rather than at the audience. You hold the audience's attention. BTW, "one more verse" on screen was also wise for holding the audience.

  • you are truly amazing, and you are a very pretty young woman

  • You have a good voice, but you sound really young! I can't wait to hear you when your voice matures.
