  • Ah, I see. Yes, the end is indeed ambiguous. And You do feel bad for everyone.

  • Hmm... The actions of those kids in that movie didn't seem very pacifist. They seemed a little too trigger happy to me, hence, this.

  • It's just the prospect of a handful of high school football players having the determination, skills, resources, and intelligence to take on and defeat about three thousand crack soviet paratroopers. It's a little far-fetched, you have to admit. I will say that some of the themes of the movie ring true and it has been upheld as a good film about partisan resistance. I happen to like it, even if the premise is a little outrageous (and it's anti-soviet propaganda makes me the slightest bit upset).

  • glad you aopprove. I just felt this needed to be parodied

  • two things, FIRST COMMENT IN A YEAR! and two great video, and great movie, AND great song lolz

  • go wolverines!!! ... hehe, nicely done :?)

i think red dawn is an interesting film due to the "terrorist" implications that it containes,

it was made 4 years before rambo 3 was "dedicated to the brave freedom fighters of the talaban" which i think gives an insight into the popular thinking at the time was and also shows how much can change in 21 years

that aside,, excelent music vid.. again, well done :?)

  • this just made my day!!! LMAO!!!!

  • I love this movie!!!!

  • i can play this on the guitar but it is really difficult.....REALLY difficult

  • The point that the movie was intended to make was that such a war would be futile for both sides and therefore the US and Soviet Union should both work toward a peaceful resolution to the cold war. Almost the entire cast is killed, the Nicaraguan officer loses his faith in the communist cause, and though the end says that years later the war ended and occupied America was liberated, the question of who really won and what was left is deliberately left unanswered.

  • The conduct of Soviet forces portrayed in the movie (attempted rapes, mass-executions of civilians in retribution for guerilla actions, immediately "disappearing" any citizens who they thought might resist) was in fact heavily based on the shit the Red Army did in Afghanistan from 1981-89. Not so much propaganda, considering the guy who wrote the movie was in fact trying to promote a pacifist theme.

  • it's daddy not danny
