when you think of what stefan and damon were as humans or in their beginnings of their vampire life, stefan fits perfect to katherine and damon to elena. both of them just changed because of katherine. damon because he wanted to forget about his broken heart and stefan because he didn't want to be like her (anymore)...

everyone (well, almost) ends up loving kat. i mean sure she's a bitch but she's still pretty awesome. she'd one of those characters who aren't good, or bad, but kinda in the middle, like rebekah. except kat just seems cooler...idk why. maybe its her 'interesting' personality that has a soft side, mostly manipulative and pretty self-absorbed...or the fact that her and stefan are pretty good together..who knows?
