  • Awesome! Thanks for sharing. Is this what they use instead of the opening or is it more of an eyecatch used before and after commercial breaks?

  • @Taur5684 break bumpers i think

  • @StephenDHenderson they have commercials during dr who? our doctor who episodes have always screened on ABC which has never ever played commercials, so we watch doctor who commercial free you could say

  • @punji73 Its the same in Britain, the BBC is non commercial, However other foreign broadcasters such as BBC America and whatever network its shows on in Japan are commercial

  • Isshi Who

  • This isn't the opening for doctor who in Japan. This is just what they play when the ads are done before it starts playing the show again.

  • @StephenDHenderson Actually, no, as I explained in my post, Doctor Who was broadcast on NHK which, like the BBC, is non-commerical supported by government grants and fees collected from the general public. This is nice, but I've never seen this used in Japan (where I live, I should point out).

  • Doctor Who was broadcast on NHK in Japan, the equivolent of the BBC, and there were no commercial breaks as NHK is not commercially supported. Doctor Who was not broadcast past the second series, and only series one and two are available on DVD. This may be because it was broadcast on Tuesday nights at 11:00pm and never really caught on. The Japanese title sequence was the same as the BBC one with the Japanese writing used for "Doctor Who" in place of the English.

  • no. Just, no.

  • very Japanese

  • the Japanese like doctor who too? wow that show is famous

  • I guess the Doctor Who main theme wasn't J-pop or J-rock enougth to considered acceptable for Japanese viewing......

  • pffffftt aaahahahahahaahaha!!

  • Is there a japanese soundtrack for doctor who with this?

  • @BBradshawProductions Dokuta Fuu, actually.

  • @BBradshawProductions Amy was the one that almost cheated on Rory with him. he was having none of it

  • Surely, in Japan it should be called Dr Woo :)

  • THIS IS BETTER THAN OURS!!! WHO CARES WHAT LANGUAGE THE TITLES ARE IN LETS HAVE IT!

  • Seriously?

    The slanted eye symbol?

In Japan, they call Doctor Who....Pedophile man in the blue box. I call him a pedophile because he stalked Amy Pond.

  • It's nice actually. And it's not China, the title is written in japanese.

  • @1darkwingotaku china has a BIG problem with laws
