Wang kui, a poor man was taken in by a kind prostitute Jiao guiying.They fell in love with each other.After several years Wang went to Peking, became an official，divorced his wife and married the doughter of a high official. Jiao guiying,his wife killed herself and be a ghost. She finally killed Wang kui.
