Skyward Sword is amazing. :D Got it for Christmas, played it 10 hours a day, beat it. Everything about it is great: the dungeons, the bosses, the gameplay, the story, the areas. Good luck. :3

You actually can use the Flame Lantern on the Gibdos to turn them into Stalfos. It's just that sometimes they'll grab you and put out your lantern if you aren't careful. Also, completing the Royal Valley opens up a few new possibilities for Kinstone fusions, several of which are small upgrades to Link's abilities. You should look into that later; maybe after getting the last Wind Crest? I'll tell you if I notice anything else.
