Try to ride a BC ferry twice and no luck, each time. My grandmother and other people had told me how the BC ferrys are much cleaner compared to the Washington State Ferrys. Wel, if I ever make it back up to the NorthWest area. I will indee try to make a trip this time on one of the many BC ferry ships, cheers people and kepp enjoying your great ferry system .....

Actually, the MV Queen of Saanich is a V-Class ferry (Victoria-Class). V-Class ferries were built between 1962 and 1965. The "1974" date you found was likely a major modification date. The "Saanich", for example, was raised (upper car deck added) and stretched around 1980.
The "Saanich's" sister ship was the Queen of Esquimalt, both built in 1963. The Queen of Vancouver (and her sister ship the Queen of Victoria) was built in 1962.

Thankyou Shortycin. This was just after I bought my camera. It was a beautiful day with calm waters so it made a nice video.
