Real Toshiba Portege z830 Hands-on Review (Not Demo or Trade show video)

The Toshiba Portege z830 is an incredibly thin and light Ultrabook built within the specs provided by Intel to compete with the Apple MacBook Air. This is not a review unit or loaner. This is my own computer that I use daily for business use.

The Portege Z830 is only 0.63 inches thick and comes with a 13.3 LED backlit display (1366x768), options for Intel core i7 processor, 6GB RAM, Intel HD 3000 graphics card, 128 GB SSD, backlit spill-resistant keyboard, 2 USB 2.0 ports, 1 USB 3.0 port, HDMI, VGA, 1.3 megapixel camera and weighs only 2.5 LBS. This unit is about $1,379.99.

i agree the noise is a big letdown. This will be the second unit I return to the store this week (I was hoping getting a silent one...). Seems like I will have to wait for another ultrabook.
