  • We use to do a similar drill at Supreme Team Boxing. We'd go forward with the 1-2, backwards with the 1-2, to the left with 2-1-2 or 1-2-1, same to the right. We'd go forward with the 1-2-3 and finally pivoting left and right and finishing the pivots with 1-2. Or your pivot move could include a hook(check hook). Or a straight right rand then the pivot. So yes good stuff excellent teaching.

  • Thanks.

  • makes sense man. thanks

  • its okay man. but i feel you have a limited space. in a real fight you can use the whole ring or cage effectively

  • you dont have to completely strp. you can do what is called a trailer punch

  • Joe, there is a guy from South Africa named Rodney King who teaches a boxing style very similar to yours. He stands square and lieks to drop alot. Hes on youtube.

    Take care!

  • there was a 1/4 pivot as well.

  • Nice vid.

Something funny happenned the other day. I stepped out of a shop just as a crowd of people were going past the entry, with my hands down, I had to stop, quick look, step back, side step, move forward, step the other way, then straight into my stride without loosing a beat, I wasn't planning it, must of looked slick.

  • great videos you should make more they're great

  • Massachusetts produces a lot of good Irish fighters like Joe here.

  • thanks

  • love this vid, i'm setting up a grid in one of my spare rooms today
