UPDATE: China's in Labor shortage crisis: Can't find eligible workers to work in the 东莞 - "the world's factory floor."
Where are they?
1) Lost interest to work in world's factories
2) stay home to open up their own businesses
3) Found works somewhere else.

2) China now is redirect their focus in developing the inland of the country. So many of these migrant workers found works near their home quickly and many of them stay home instead. There are lots of such news from various Chinese media about the migrant workers turn Entrepreneurs benefit their home town with their learned skill from working in the cities

Reason why so many out of work migrant workers go home but cause no problems:
1) Most migrants are peasants/ farmers from various villages. They have land and a home except cash. That's why they go into the cities to make money. When the worst comes to the worst they go home help out the farming. And they are not ended up homeless like people in the USA do.
