  • I use to make the set-ups and be an oiler on this particular machine as needed.

  • The backside of this machine & the area looks familiar. Was this shot outside of Centralia, Pa by chance?

  • The travel controls are in the cab and on the travel engine. this video has all the sounds that i know from the machine and it all trys to come back to me while watching this video. 6408 was built in 1979 and this machine or the 2 that they have were bult right in the same time period these machines have to have 70,000 hours better on them. great video

  • Surprising when the oiler has to go turn on the drive power unit. I would have assumed that the operator could control ALL functions of the systems from the cab. Perhaps that is just an issue with this particular machine. Excellent size comparison with the operator in the cab, to those of us that havnt seen a 6400 up close.
