Tim Walz pro-Obama Care Town Hall Meeting August 20, 2009

On August 20, 2009, I made the trek to Mankato, MN to hear my elected congressman advocate Obamacare. It was at times a spirited evening, as people voiced their concerns. But it was fairly orderly...although people booed at times to let Walz know he was either making stuff up or not recognizing the desires of his constituents.

This video is the most interesting exchange of the evening. Judge for yourself it Walz actually addressed the young lady's concern about not being able to keep the health-care she and her husband want because the government might potentially charge them a tax penalty if the it deems the health insurance not up to snuff.
........
Note how the "moderator", former Minnesota Senator David Durenberger tries to cut the lady off...and the crowd rightfully reacts. The former (republican) senator was pretty clear through his statements last night of his pro-ObamaCare and Walz support.

I'm the girl who asked the question- I love how he answered my question about misinformation...I asked if he could say with all certainty whether or not my claims from the bill contained misinformation...and he said..."I can't say anyting with certainty" or something to that effect.....for crying out loud. In other words, he hasn't really read the whole bill. By the way, for more info as to what I was talking about; see sections 122, 313, and 401 of HR3200 regarding keeping the coverage we like.

Actually, if you look at Paul Ryan's (R) plan (yes, there were *numerous* republican plans put forth which Pelosi/Reid/Obama ignored) it is far superior to this massive waste that will need to be repealed.

Also, don't forget there was bipartisan opposition to Obamacare-- which was forced through the house of representatives this past weekend (a good number of democrats voted against it...unfortunately not enough).

He's in a real fix here ...

If he votes against the liberal wing of his party, they'll drop him like a sack of potatoes -- and he's too politically small to make it without national support.

But, if he votes for this healthcare deal, his constituents will boot him out -- Rochester doesn't need Tim and Nancy Pelosi to tell them what good healthcare looks like.

Tim Walz is lying when he says that if we open insurance across state lines that it wouldn't drive down costs.

I wish some one would've asked him about the congressional health plan....If it's so great, would he be willing to stick his neck out on the line and use it instead of the congressional plan? Thats the BIG question that should be asked to any congressman / senator. Why should these elitists get better treatment than those they are supposed to represent???

Notice the lame democrat saying that they (the dems) did a study showing that an insurance company will charge you more if they were allowed to compete across state lines. Funny, all these other companies do it and drive down costs but if an insurance company is allowed to compete then it will cost more, unless its the dem government option then magically it will be cheaper. BULL SHIT. You idiots that vote for democrats need to wake up.

Interesting feedback, the bill is built 4corporations 2reduce their cost 2Health Care//not our end.. We need 2really spend time on the BILL &put all kinds of WIN/WINs into it 4thepeople. Good Ideas come from us: Free EDUC 4new Doctors who commit 4 yrs. tilth to work Free or Low-Cost Clinics/Hospitals in their Lifetime. Whatever plan we pass, Congress must be on it.
