http://www.africafreak.com Water is the source of life, and for the bushmen people this is no exception. However, there are no "bottle stores" in the Kalahari desert, so people who live there have had to adapt to their environment in order to survive.

  • Ganzi Trailblazers, am I right?

  • @XSirApocalypseX Yep you are absolutely right, well done! ;)

  • @XSirApocalypseX Been there?

  • Nice, how do they find the root?

  • @iamoogabooga They know where to find them. Once they've identified a spot, they dig the b bulbs out with a stick, then extract the water content.

  • @Africafreakcom They just know? There must be some indication like something sticking out of the ground? Are they dowsing for it lol.

  • @iamoogabooga Sorry if I wasn't clear enough. :) Yes, there's definitely external signs that mark the bi! bulb's presence (what exactly, I am not too sure though; perhaps check the video entitled "Bushmen Find Water in the Desert", by the Wild Source).

But I must admit the root had already been unearthed when we got there. Apparently so, they aren't that easy to find...
