  • Asuka's mother originally did love Asuka. But when Asuka was four years old, she participated in an experiment with Unit 02 (similar to the experiment performed by Yui Ikari with Unit 01). Though she physically survived the test, Kyoko emerged mentally unstable, and believed a doll she cared for to be an infant Asuka and even went so far as to attempt to strangle Asuka. Her mother was later institutionalized and then commits suicide by hanging herself.

  • I feel her pain

  • Thank God for the Director's Cut version. Some of the minor characters were revoiced and the voice acting was heavily edited for new sound effects.

  • Asuka always gets tge wosrt

  • Ahhh poor asuka still my favorite anime character ever

  • autism

  • More than anything, the thing that gets to me is Asuka's frozen smile when she sees her mother hanging from the ceiling.

  • I love S. Asuka Langley

  • Everyone is fantastic, but, the man who voices Asuka's father is terrible. XD

    He can't act!

  • The terrible part is, there's worse on the way.

  • little asuka's so cute

  • Asuka redefines the concept of the "love/hate relationship".
