He would have turned 97 today had he not died in 2004. It seems fitting that in an election year that has the potental to be so divisive we remember President Reagan, a man who was a unifier, a man who laid the foundation for the modern conservative movement, and a man of remarkable integrity who loved four things above all else, his God, his wife, his family and his country.

This is part one, covering his life up to his first inauguration. Part Two will be up shortly. Thanks.

  • Thanks for that message panda

  • This was the first man that I voted for, the reason that I am what I am politically. Thank God that we had him!

  • I was born the day he got the nomination. I never got to vote for him but I can say he is the reason I am political. He was a great leader.

  • What makes me sick is that no "Republican" leaders seem to follow the glowing example this great man gave us. They invoke his name while acting more left than right.

He was so immeasurably popular and successful because of his total conservative vision.

    It works.

    Did then, will now.

We need a true Reagan Republican in office.

  • If you don't love this guy then something is wrong with ya. RIP Mr. President.

  • Great video, but it's a little hard to hear with the music. Don't get me wrong, the music goes well with it, but it's too loud.

  • The only thing I liked about the 80's was the skateboard and punk movement, Reagan caused a big uprising in the hard core punk movement because of the right wing backlash and the rise in televangalism. Same thing happend in the 2000's with Bush! We dont like to be told what to do or how to think, that its wrong to be free thinkers, the only reason reagan got in office was the fundementalist christian movment.

  • Amnesty for illegals,Iran Contra, Loan & Savings

First president to start large deficit spending

Presided over the highest unemployment rate since the great depression (10.8%) - including today

He hurt our civil liberties, imprisoned millions, gave aid to muslim extremists, soared deficits and gave greater superpowers to the aristocracy.

Increased the size of government by the largest margin of any president - including today and trickle down economy= TIED WITH BUSH 1& 2 AS WORST EVER!!!

  • What are the theme songs? They're really good

  • 'TEAR DOWN THIS MYTH!'

  • Our nation is controlled by the media... People are becoming too dependent on information that comes straight from stupid news stations such as Jon Stewart and Bill Maher. All you have to do is just turn on the tv and watch David Letterman. I believe that Letterman has given up on his comedy to just bash conservatives and sway the younger crowds. Whether you agree with me or not, AMERICA NEEDS A HERO AND OBAMA IS NOT IT! Since Obama came in, the nation has been more divided, not more united.

  • In my estimation, the public opinion of the majority of Americans will change within 25 years. I think that Reagan will be seen for what he was: a deliverer of propaganda for corporate America. No other President had as many cabinet members incarcerated as Reagan's.

I think that it is especially revealing as to how much his speeches were empty when he discusses France's Health Care system @ 2:07. I've been living in Paris for 8 years & their HC System is ranked #1 according to the W.H.O.

  • he's a douchebag

  • RIP Mr Reagan. You were in my humble opinion the one of the greatest leaders our country has ever had, I know there is a special place saved just for great men and women such as you.......... Rest well my friend...My President
