Five days after I left China, a massive mudslide buried Xishanpo, the mountain part of the Village of Renjiaping, killing 24+ villagers including 4 of our tent school kids and two parents. Xue, a junior high school student currently studying in Mianyang, is orphaned due to sudden death of her mother. Two of our tent school teachers have rushed from Beijing to Beichuan. Fortunately, they found all remaining 43 children. It's been drizzling in New York. How can rains be so deadly? I do not know. I am soaked with sorrow that resembles so much the early days of the Earthquake. The rain is my enemy now. This album is devoted to the children and families we lost, and to those of us who have survived.
