Moscow Pride 2008

On June 1st 2008 at 13h10, gay activists located in a flat on Tverskaya in front of the Moscow City Hall, unveiled a banner asking "Rights for Gays and Lesbians " and "Homophobia of Mayor Luzhkov should be prosecuted". The gays and lesbians activists initially informed medias that they would organize their pride on the square like the previous 2 years. This year, they managed to fool the police and the protesters who where not able to prevent the banner and the balloons to fly. It was a blow for the Moscow authorities and a shame for the mayor who could see the banner from his window.
