Set Up: 1 2 2 (middle) 2 2 1

Cut your strings 65" (inches) long and fold them in half. After folding, simply tie an overhand knot to form a loop at the end and then arrange your strings.
______________________________________________

Alternate Set Up: 1 3 2 (middle) 2 3 1

What does this mean?

You can substitute L2 and R2 with another color to make the diamond appear unfilled or filled with a different colored dot. (HINT: Using a yellow string in L2&R2 will make the diamond look flower-like. Using the same color as the background string in L2&R2 will make the diamond look hollow.)

L1 & R1 = Background Color
L2 & R2 = Middle of Diamond
L3 & R3 = Outline of Diamond
______________________________________________

PATTERN STEPS:

1. L1 - 1fk, 1fk/bk & 1bk
2. R1 - 1bk, 1bk/fk & 1fk
3. Join The Middle (L3 & R3)

4. L3 - 1 bk & 1bk/fk
5. R3 - 1fk & 1fk/bk
6. Join The Middle (L3 & R3)

7. L2 - 1fk
8. R2 - 1bk
9. Join The Middle (L3 & R3)

10. Repeat From Step 1

  • Um.... I dunno but its kinda odd question, is there anyway you don't have to fill the diamond??? o-o

  • @Twilightnightynight It's sort of mandatory. I guess you could skip out on it but it will leave those two stray strings in the very center. If you're okay with that you could do it though- that or add a seed bead to the two strings that are in the center prior to making the bottom of the diamond.

  • is this normal strings?

  • @jossy19951 Six stranded embroidery floss.

  • Mine doesn't look a thing like its suppose to and I didnt exacly what you said like 3 times

  • @kelsey8714 Did you make both forward, backward -and- backward/forward forward/backward knots? If so... then maybe you need to pull it differently.
