As we continue to be embroiled in the so-called "Ground Zero Mosque" controversy, this week Reza Aslan uses his Vlog to comment on the larger issue of whether America is becoming increasingly Islamophobic.
Are we in danger of destroying the pluralistic values America was built on? ...destined to become more like Europe, a hot bed for home-grown radical youths motivated by what they feel is a constant attack on their identity?

islamophobia is a nonsense term. a phobia is an irrational anxiety not rooted in reality, like claustrophobia or agoraphobia.

opposition to islam is not a phobia. it's legitimate, rational, and totally necessary in today's world. and there's no "rise" in anxiety. people are just getting fed up with the riots over cartoons, car bombs, threats over movies and TV shows.

Actually it is muslims that have the phobias. They're afraid of women, that's why they subjugate them. They're afraid of their clerics, that's why they're not allowed to disagree with them.
