This is an excellent tut! :) I'm a super newbie, and just about to try to start knitting my first little infant hat, BUT - the only question I have is how do you close the top of the hat??? That's the only thing I don't get how to do! :( Is there anywhere where you show how you close the top of the hat? Thanks again so much for creating this video and showing us how to do it! :)

@211yellowgirl you can do so the same way you would if you were casting on straights. Leave a long enough tail on your previous ball of yarn (to be weaved in at the end of your project) and leave about the same on your new ball as well and just start carrying your new yarn instead of the old one. This is demonstrated in my how to change the color of yarn tutorial.
Check it out and let me know if it is helpful. If not, I can do a tutorial for you. Videos resume in March.

@savvybanana27 Welcome to the world of knitting. I'm grateful that you found this tutorial to be relaxing. I find knitting to be just that. Trust me, once you start, you'll continue on forever. :-)

@Stopwar1234 I get most of my yarn from Michaels these days. Needles I get them from either JoAnn DOT com or local yarn shops.

Oh shoot, never mind! I just saw the video where you closed the beret! I didn't realize the link was in the description! Sorry about that dumb question! :)
