Part two of a lesson on how to make a disproportionate waste yarn opening. The result is a pouch with one side twice the length of the other - and this allows for a new kind of sock architecture suitable for a Christmas stocking. The stocking has 2 pouches in the instep area, one to hold a gift for Santa and the other a gift for Rudolph. The pattern may be found at knittersreview.com on November 29, 2007.

  • Thanks so much for that trick with the circular needles (getting gauge with only one set). That totally opened up a world of options for me, since I don't have the cash right now to splurge on a second set. You rock!

  • Dido that!..

    Thank you Cat.. thanx alot.

  • Cat, You are wonderful. Thank you for taking the time to make these tutorials on behalf of all we knitters and wannabe knitters like me.
