@zee3are0 Mate i am Australia as they come but knew the Socceroos didn't stand a chance against germany(I watch alot of German football) i wouldn't be running your mouth just yet though England aren't really a top football national anymore. I think like Australia the US would struggle against an aggressive side like Germany but i will admit i have gained a small amount of respect for the USA team but lets see whats happens if they advance to the next round

First of all you can't compare CONCACAF to AFC...AFC has more well known Soccer nations like Japan, China, Korea Republic and the way Australia used to have to qualify for the World Cup was stupid we had to be the number one side in Oceania then beat the number 5 racked South American side(which was Uruguay) in a two legged play off. Oh and the reason we haven't won the AFC Asian Cup is cause we only played in the comp once in 2007..we care more about the World Cup

2002, US played Quarter Finals against Germany, and US beat Portugal. We've beat England at the WC before, and finished fourth at the first WC. Where did Australia finish in 2002? Oh, didn't EVEN QUALIFY. US has qualified for the last five WCs, Australia made the last one, that's it.
The US isn't a great soccer team, but Australia has even less standing in International Football. I mean, we regularly win the CONCACAF Gold Cup; when was the last time Australia won the AFC Asian Cup? Never?

Dude, if almost any European or South American had said this, I'd have had to just grinned and took it and said "you have every right to make fun of me..."
But Australia? HAHAHAHAHAHA. You have a less impressive World Cup record than we do!
