That's passed Oakland Family Camp and that's the Camp Kidd swimming hole. Keep going and you'll get the the Cascades passed the Hobo Camp. You could hear the train in the back ground. I think you start the ride in East Quincy thru Chanler Road.

I think the best swim hole on Spanish Creek is up about a 1 1/2 miles from your swim hole is here. That is, past Oakland Camp, continue past where the road is very thin (1 lane) and end up in the wide meadows area where the road ends by louping around. The swim hole is about 1/2 way up the meadow. Very deep green water. There use to be a hanging rope on the other side of the river . . . Great place!! I also worked in Oakland Camp for 4+ years. Nice post.

Dude, were you on Chandler lane the whole way? This is not the route I remember to Oakland Camp. I grew up there. Things don't change that much.

success! there's no bit of water more majestic than a swimming hole. i know this for sure.
taylor, baby, i know this is tainting our so-far impressive usps correspondence, but i needed to quickly let you know that i'm no longer in glacier park, and therefore no longer accepting mail at that p.o. box. send everything (send it all!) to my michigan address for now.
