Remove insurance from the health care equation.
All health care should be non-profit.
Insurance companies are totally unnecessary.

Glad to see Rockridge is framing this issue. I'll have to go to their site and get other information on this issue.

It is not 'socialized' health care. The government will not control Drs, hospitals or nurses. You would still be free to choose. As it is right now the only persons receiving your definition of 'socialized' health care are elected officials. YOU are paying for their health care. Wonder how that matches up w/ your health care.

The only way insurance companies make money is to refuse care. Why don't some people get this?
We don't need insurance REFORM, we need to ABOLISH the health insurance companies completely. Doctors and other health care PROVIDERS would be independent, paid by the government. YOU choose your doctor, the doctor decides treatment - not socialized medicine at all.

We cant let a sick poor child get in the way of profit of HMO'S now could we?

Plenty of money for war... no money for sick kids.

I think it's really powerful. Reminds me of Meryl Streep in Sophie's Choice, and Solomon's offer to the "true" mother to cut the baby in half. Now, it's the most horrible decision to be forced to make, not because we can't afford it, but because profit run insurance companies only "children" are shareholders.

Well stated. The for profit health care organizations are there for themselves not the patient. We need a single payer system.

Maybe show the kids playing as seen in the first part, then cut away to someone's child in the Emergency Department, with someone hounding the mom for payment. May be more like the current ad for St. Jude's Children's Hospital as seen on TV. They take any child regardless of socio-economic status.

Add punch at the end of he video: Some have suggested that families should be responsible and not have children they cannot care for. But no one realized how expensive health would become. A better option is that health care should be funded by the tax payers without involving insurance companies that require big profits.
Helps understand what's wrong with current health care system. All children should be covered! (Hmm, why not all adults, too?)

This is the choice we're making as a sick society. We don't mind sacrificing others' children for corporate profits. Amazing.
