This video is an excerpt from the documentary TWILIGHT BECOMES NIGHT. Michael's Barbershop was a fantastic neighborhood shop where kids would come get their first hair cuts and then grow up continuing to go there. It had been in existence for over 70 years and was loved by the community. But, as is the case for many small businesses, when the rent doubled Michael's was forced to close. This footage was shot on their last day in business ever. For more information on how to save your neighborhood store, please visit http://www.TwilightBecomesNight.com
Thanks for the additional information. I would like to see some nice ladies in the barber chair in our local shop.

I just saw this tonight in Chicago. What a powerful movie. It make me sad and angry and it convinced me that our local businesses need our support, DESERVE our support. I wish this movie had more exposure; it's definitely needed. Thank you for making this film!!!

I have seen this entire film (when it played at the Dixon). The excerpts are wonderful, but you must see the entire film to truly appreciate it. "Twilight Becomes Night" is an important part of the dialogue about how New York City is changing, and raises import issues about how we will move through this newest economic crisis.
