  • I noticed that it had a right foot shift, first gear up, like the british bikes of those years. How many gears did it have? Was it faster than the Cushman?

  • The Mustang has a British Burman 4-speed transmission and clutch. It could out-accelerate and outrun any stock Cushman. It has 12 1/2 horsepower. Cushmans had 8 or 9 horsepower with only a two-speed trans.

  • nice bike!! i have never seen one of those before!!,must be an American bike???

  • Thanks. Yes, Made in Glendale California from 1946 to 1966. For more info go to the website of the Mustang Motorcycle Club of America (MMCOA)

  • I had a 1958 Cushman Eagle 8 hp, the Mustang was way faster than any stock Cushman. I would drool over those Mustang's, they were quite a bike!
