@all4amcandoltl sure.. but dont forget that gigi is the one who turned that generator on, so if shane was trapped we dont know what couldve happened because maybe he wouldnt turned the generator on.. but like u said, maybe he wouldve died because of the dust.. anyways shane didnt get traped it was gigi, and yes jack is reponsible but i dont think he is fully, brad was also responsible for it and gigi is the one who turned the generator!

didn't forget, Jack is STILL responsible because even though he went along with Brad, he could have come back to let Gigi/Stacy out.
If Shane had fallen into the trap, then he would have died because the dust alone would have made Shane's asthma much worse coupling that with the carbon monoxide then this s/l would have turned out much, much worse
