With rising food and fuel prices, along with a stagnant global economy, an estimated 100 million people have recently fallen into poverty. Low-income countries will be faced with hunger and under-nutrition, while some families moving to cheaper, less nutritious calorie sources will potentially fuel the obesity epidemic.

The discussion panel includes nutrition experts from Nestlé, Tufts University and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and will look at potential responses and solutions to the emerging food and nutrition security crisis.
