  • The derived or child's' class's access level (public, private, protected) are as follows:

    Private: Will take all the public and protected members & methods (functions) and make them private. Those that were private already will remain private.

    Public: Will keep private members and methods private, but turn protected and public members and methods public. This is the most common method.

    Protected: Will turn all private and public members and methods to protected.
