Iris is anxious for Dennis and Marley to arrive at the party so she can show them off, but every time there are new arrivals, Dennis and Marley are not among them. When John, Donna's date for the evening, arrives late and apologetic from the hospital, Donna grabs his arm and tells him to stay glued to her side all night and not let Iris near her...and then she promptly ditches John to try and get Matt's attention so he can help her with her financial records. Rachel introduces Sloane Wallace to Amanda and Sam, and Amanda is not happy when Sloane tells Sam that she wants to book Sam on Felicia's show, and to bring Alli when he goes on because Alli is a big draw. John and Jamie talk about the fact that they'd both rather be working than at Iris's party, and about the new Chief of Staff position and how that might leave room for Kelsey to advance. John then leaves Jamie to look for Donna. Donna, meanwhile, is watching Matt like a hawk and trying to get his attention, but has to stop when Rachel catches sight of her. Sloane tells Rachel that she talked to Felicia, than asks how old Felicia is. Ryan and Spencer arrive at the party, and Iris drags Spencer over to talk to the mayor while Ryan goes to get a glass of champagne and bumps into Brett...literally. Donna finally flags down Matthew and tells him she's been working on her financial figures for him to look at and when he tells her this isn't the time, she tells him she's desperate. Rachel introduces Sloane and Jamie, and Sloane tells Jamie about her meeting Paulina and Jake, and how Jake got some lifestyle footage of Madonna on tape. Jamie dryly says that Jake is very good at that sort of thing. Iris is talking to John when the elevator opens again, and this time it's Hank, who came straight from the hospital. Iris is surprised to see him. Thanks to Janie for the scenes.
Interesting to watch everyone work the room.

Please tell me that down the road this Sloan b*tch gets what's coming to her. I look forward to her demise.
