As more and more Americans are found defending themselves in this way the odds of being attacked by some random gun wielding punk are less and less. Usually it's been my second hand experience (Stories, TV News and Magazines) that these types of crimes are happening less frequently as time goes by and as the Citizenry becomes more aware that it's not a bad thing to defend ones self. Police do a great job, BUT they usually arrive AFTER you call them for help and not before! Some may claim ESP hah
