Su Blackwell's artwork proves that there's more than one way to appreciate a good book.

These mini-masterpieces, which can take up to a month to complete, depict scenes from books which resonate with the artist. Her work is framed in books containing fairy tales, poetry, and even how-tos.

In this video, we examine Su's work as it is exhibited in Shatin before she demonstrates the techniques she uses to create the artwork.

  • Shit Music.

  • The world is full of books that no one wants any more -- libraries routinely toss ( or burn) books, to make room for new ones. To turn them into art is one way to utilize these unloved items.

  • @SuperUndoy if you think of it that way then you could call any form of art wasteful. But I find it beautiful, creative and inspiring
