  • I've seen 300TDs with and without turbo diesel engines, so the T stands for something other than Turbo. More of them were sold with turbo diesels than in regular diesel form. So naturally, one would believe that the T in TD would mean TurboDiesel. Nice car. I've always loved this style for Mercedes-Benz.

  • @Seattlecarnut yes i love them too and think i have figured out that they are ALL turbos except for the 1980 models and earlier

  • @CerealMarshmallows I'm afraid I've never driven a Mercedes-Benz 300TD. It's too bad you didn't take the vehicle for a drive, that would've been fun.

  • @Seattlecarnut MAN I drove this car 300 miles than the nice people who bought it drove the car from san diego to vermont WOW even stayed in it now that would have been a BLAST!!!

  • i like this car¡¡¡¡ you sell this car?

  • @mix3210 Yes im sorry make sure and subscribe to my channel though i have just uploaded a blue one Nathan 406 544 6919

  • "TD" actually MEANS wagon!

In Europe all other models are called "230 CDI T-Modell" (for example).

"CDI" is the same as "D". Both is for Diesel.

  • @Seattlecarnut The 'T' stands for T-Model meaning their wagon models. As such a diesel engined sedan would be a 300D.

  • @KarlGoth ur wrong

  • I own this car and is AWSOME. 400,000 miles and it still boosts and goes zoom!

Never gettin rid of this bitchin classic

  • I will never get used to a sedan/small car sounding like a truck.

  • @KarlGoth Well, thank you for the education!

  • @Seattlecarnut • D for Diesel,

    • E for Einspritzung (fuel injection)

    • Lang for Long Wheelbase

    • T for Transport and Tourism (estate/station wagon)

    • C for Coupé
