Just Right for the Brand New Picker!

A Super-Easy, No-Fail Play-Along Session with Pete "Dr. Banjo" Wernick

Anyone, with any instrument, can get into this bluegrass jam session, even if you've never tried it before. All you need to know are four basic chords (G, C, D and A) to play along with the band.

This DVD will give you the practice and the confidence you'll need to join a real jam session. Pete Wernick makes it easy, giving encouragement, instruction and important advice on how to hold your own when you jam with others. By playing along with these top bluegrass musicians, you'll get a feel for the songs, where the chords change, how to enter a group, and even how to take a simple solo when the time is right.

Which DVD Is Best For You?

This is the one DVD that every new bluegrass player needs...right along with his or her first instrument!

Each song is played at a slow, easy tempo so you won't have any problem keeping up. All 17 are standards that should be part of every bluegrass picker' repertoire:

  • "Bluegrass jamming can be really easy, and sometimes it can get really hard."

"You must be in tune, you must be on the right chord at all times, and you must play in rhythm"

"And by the time that you played all the songs with us, you realise, I hope, that you can play an awful lot of music."

By "Total Beginner", they must mean a person whose never seen an instrument in their life.
