Without doubt the most touching moment during the everest trek
Opening clip shows how mt Everest revealed itself to me for the first time in my life
Summit closeup with special clouds overhead was recorded from the north-ridge of the little Machermo valley, at an altitude of 4800m
Avalanche itself was recorded from the slopes of Kala Patthar. It tumbles down the steep slopes of mt Nuptse.
The event was inaudible, apart from a very distant crack, presumably when the snowmass broke loose. It wasn't until some french speaking woman uttered the word in excitement: 'Avalanche!', that i noticed it.I have never been more happy to have my camera ready to shoot around the neck :-))
Closing sunset-clips were recorded from the famous village of Tyangboche
Music is ' Latika's theme' from the ' slumdog millionaire' OST

dik filmpje bagagerat, ik ga ervan uit dat je de bagage afhandeld in nl lol maar je bent op en het veste vliegveldje ter wereld geweest en hebt toch wel een van de mooiste plekken bezocht die ik me kan bedenken!! erg mooi dit!

Thanks! Camera used is the casio ex-f1 with a raynox fish-eye lens (the dcr-fe180pro). Rather heavy package to drag up to those heights but I sure was glad I had it.
