Using the new 100mW 1.3GHz ReadyMadeRC transmitter. This is the wireless standard definition output of the GoPro HD Hero with an EagleTree Pro OSD overlay. There are some minor diagonal lines in the video from the switching 5V regulator used to power the GoProHD.

  • Sorry about not keeping up with the comments here! I've since verified that the power output of this little transmitter is closer to 150mW...so it's actually under-rated a bit. This is recorded on the ground, and yes the picture quality is better when it's direct. No consumer level HD TX's yet. For SD cameras, I can say that my RMRC-540 cams blow away the DX201 in a side by side comparison. I haven't found a better camera yet...

  • Links for the patch antenna? there are somewhat hard to find in the HAM 1.3 band :(

Nice vid, dosnt the talking get annoying though lol?

  • @bludger247The patch antenna can be found at ReadyMadeRC (sorry, youtube doesn't seem to want to let me post the link)

And yes, I've turned off the voice announcements! :)

Also, I finally got some equipment make some accurate measurements. This transmitter is actually putting out 150mW.

  • so how many girls have you spy on in your neighborhood?

  • Nice work.

  • a few questions, with your OSD eagletree pro setup do have to buy a bunch of different things or is it like one box or something?

what is the max range that you have gotten out of your system?

and what is best FPV/ plane controls to buy (best frequencey) because there are like 5.8ghz, 2.4 ghz, 1.3 as it looks like here, 900mhz.

    Thanks tons! awsome vids!!!!

  • @ReadyMadeRC what brand equipment were you using? I and a friend are looking for something to test and verify this ourselves.

  • I wanted to ask is that recorded on your ground station after a/v transmission... that really distorts image quality running through our standard tx's. Do you think it is more clear than a wdr600.. I mean goggle clarity not HD recorded clarity. Are there any HD Tx's out yet... or a fore casted date... pm me back please

  • that's is ridiculous range for 150mw! I'm planning to get the same video tx/rx configuration but with 300mw or 700mw. I wonder if it will make that much of a difference.

  • What the hell is the range on this thing? :|

  • Very Nice! Would love to try something like that with my EasyStar and GoPro HD Hero sometime....

  • Can the GoPro record in HD simultaneously? How would you compare the quality in the goggles to other popular FPV cams? (Fatshark FS-HD1, DX-201, etc?).
