Koal, you're right in that just because one is a good speaker or a good debater, it doesn't mean that they are right on the issues. The current "president" is a classic example if there ever was one. Cheney thought the U.S. needed more oil refineries, nuclear power plants, and that oil should be drilled offshore and in Alaska. He more or less said that conservation of energy is what 3rd world nations need to be concerned with....NOT the U.S. I admired this kind of leadership from the man.

Just because your a good debater doesn't necessarily mean your right. I bet, maybe I'm wrong, you probably don't agree with much of the stuff Christopher Hitchens says. That guy could slaughter practically anyone in a debate. That doesn't necessarily make him right all the time. If your quick witted, and know what your talking about when it comes to the issues you are for, you can beat a lot of ppl at a debate. I think Cheney is wrong on almost every issue I hear him talk about, but that's me.
