Fail. Structure too heavy for the power available. Barely achieved hover let a lone ground effect flight. If you trim weight and improve your duct design, it may work. Looked like a fun learning experience, though.
I am just a bio major, but I would say that their center of lift is to far back (hence the nose "digging" into the water. A few tweaks and it *could* work. Or maybe the center of thrust is to high. Hmm, maybe I should change majors.
waste of time, money and material. Read your books first then make something with the knowledge you acquire.

Yep, that's it's problem alright...something like this needs to have its' winglets nearly level to get lift at low speeds. Otherwise, clever work!

just an observation but i believe one would attain more lift if you reduced the wings angle of attack.
