In 2004, Steven finished his career at Oregon State. Projected to be a top five pick in the NFL Draft, he wound up waiting longer than anticipated to be chosen. When the Dallas Cowboys -- his father's favorite team -- had a chance to select him 22nd overall, Steven figured it was done deal. Instead, Dallas traded the pick to the Buffalo Bills, who selected J.P. Losman, and St. Louis took Steven two slots later.
