Isn't it great that the various shape note books have a lot of the songs in common? I have never (yet) sung from the Christian Harmony. Is it a 4-shape or a 7-shape book?

Christian Harmony is seven shape. William Walker had compiled a four shape book (Southern Harmony) previously before his seven shape Christian Harmony.
There was a lot of borrowing and sharing going on back then. In fact, Walker and B.F. White married sisters.
New Harp of Columbia is another seven shape book that is sung in eastern Tennessee. Would love to have you come join us some day.
