I find Rooney's segments to be insightful and, as someone else said, entertaining.

Some people dismiss him as some kind of old fart who's out of tough with reality or something, but that isn't really the case. Well yes, he's old, but reflecting on everyday things is what he does. For instance, some time ago, he did a segment on the .99 of a cent extra that they charge for gas. It was rather clever, too. Sure, some of it may seem over the top, but when you really THINK about it, it makes sense.
