I ask myself the same question! There are the videos and the pictures of celebrities used in his show..and he gets away with it somehow. No idea why..And then there's another girl, who sings the famous copyrighted songs. And she's a YouTube partner...Weird. Cuz when I read the rules, it said, that using any music, or even singing a famous song without music in your video is forbidden. I have no idea why they're partners and how it's possible. Let me know if you find out.

Those videos aren't copy rightered to begin with. If you post something on youtube and don't go through the legal ways to get it protected than its free game

I watched my first one of his vids just to comment here. Yes, the other commenters are correct that "fair use" includes short bits for reviews, and it also includes parodies. Also true: people with a paid staff have an easier time securing permission than high school kids.

I know that YT won't be helpful in answering your questions about how they deal with fair use, and I doubt you'll get a response from Ray, either. Youtubers don't tend to respond to requests for help from the little guys.

Jackal!!! I'm not sure about what type of permission you have to get. If you make something public and it isn't copyrighted then who knows. Elvis was famous for taking music old black blues musicians would sing on the street corner re-working it a little and then making millions off of it. So, is that the same thing? Oh yeah, and Led Zeppelin did the same thing.

The fair use exemptions to DMCA are pretty complicated. Look up "fair use" on Wikipedia.

Look at how many subscribers he has and how many views he gets. That's why he's allowed to use other people's videos. He should stop stealing other people's videos and making money off of them. It's not fair. Its disgusting that youtube allows him to do that just because of the amount of views he gets.
