Who are all these armchair geneticists? I was searching cute baby vids and dunno how I ended up here but, anyway, Cri Du Chat is a rare, severe disorder. The cry is DRAMATICALLY unlike a typical baby - a very high pitched kitten-like mew that would make anyone think something was up. Generally, too, facial features suggest a problem at birth.

Cri du chat has more to it than just the sound of their cry. This child does not display any of the facial features of the syndrome.

I am the person who posted this video. I am his aunt & uploaded this 12 hours after he was born. I put it on youtube bc I thought he was cute and his cry was so little! I had no idea anyone would be this interested in seeing this or even taking the time to post comments about it. Just so everyone knows - nothing was ever wrong with him. He does NOT have this syndrome everyone on here is telling me about. He is 2 1/2 years old now and is a perfectly fine little boy :o)
