Developing, expanding and exploring the potential of the Pentatonic Pairs in the Bb Blues. Using the diminished ladder to find those sweet notes with the pairs around the tonal centers with the Jazz Everyone...! language system. Once you get them in your ear and under your fingers your ready to play some jazz.

  • Yo 1979 Saxman ... Yes, I actually stay in Bb all the way through the blues. However, throughout the 12 bars blues form harmonies, there are almost unlimited opportunities to alter chords or use substitutions. I play a lot of half Diminished licks in everything I play ... check out my Half Diminished 2 Pack on the Jazz Everyone web site. Thanks for the comment.

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but the last two bars of theses changes are turnarounds? So if that's the case, you can still improv in the key of Bb during these bars?

Also, we're you using some half-diminished licks in there?

  • Love your videos uncle Willie
