In November 2010, 58% of Baytown voters rejected their city's red light camera program operated by American Traffic Solutions(ATS) of Scottsdale, AZ.
ATS sued the city over the election and was paid off in a settlement to take their cameras down. As part of the settlement, the election was invalidated.
Byron Schirmbeck, who ran the initiative to put the measure on the ballot last fall explains how this action is endangering the right of citizens to vote.
